Hans Hifiker, the famous Swiss Designer, as an employee of the Swiss Federal Railways, created, in the forties, the registered pattern protected wrist-watch version was developed by Mondaine in 1986. The design concepts together with the ecological concept were awarded the German Design plus prize in 1993, the bronze award of art directors club of Switzerland in 1994.
