New CeleronTM Processor-Based Half-size CPU Card with built-in LCD Interface, Ethernet controller, and Flash Disk
The SBC-656 expands AAEON's current offering of Half-size CPU Cards. The SBC-656 uses the latest IntelR CeleronTM (PPGA) processor repackaged for embedded applications, taking advantage of Intel's Socket 370 low-profile processor to provide PentiumR II performance. This compact board has an ISA bus interface for use with backplane or can be used as stand-alone controller.
The on-board C&T 69000 is a high performance LCD/CRT Windows accelerator incorporating 2MB SDRAM for the graphics/video frame buffer. It supports a wide range of flat panel displays, including 36-bit TFT LCD displays allowing simultaneous viewing of LCD and LCD displays. The built-in DiskOnChipR socket supports system boot-up and memory storage up to 144 MB. This is a far superior solution to a standard hard drive as the flash disk has no mechanical parts and does not require the usage of a bus, slot or connector. The Fast Ethernet controller provides a tenfold increase in network capability; it is fully compatible with traditional 10Mbps network facilities.
