RoHS (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substance in Electrical and Electronic Equipment 2002/95/EC) Directive issued by EC on Feb 13, 2003 was a directive to restrict the use of certain hazardous substance in electrical and electronic equipment in order to protect our living environment and humans. Bi-Sonic as one of the leading fan manufacturers in Taiwan started developing RoHS-Compliant products from 2003 and our efforts enable us to support our customers with full line of RoHS-Compliant products earlier before July 1st, 2006.
The RoHS Directive defines the regulation of six environmentally hazardous substances from homogeneous materials found with electrical and electronic equipment placed in the single market after July 1st, 2006. (Table list below as definition)

The regulation of RoHS-Compliant products needs to engineer change for a fan assembly lists below. All RoHS-Compliant fans will be identified by a green color sticker with date code on it.
