TNC connector is basically a threaded coupling version of the BNC connector with 50ohm impedance and operation to 11 GHz. It was developed because of environmental conditions, especially shock and extreme vibration. TNC connectors are widely used in the cellular/mobile communication industry for equipment cabling and antenna interfaces.
