Proximity Switch
When an object (iron, metal, glass or liquid) comes close to the operating distance of a switch, the location of the object will be sensed by the switch by means of inductance rather than contact, and at same time it can convert the signal into a electrical command signal to automatically operate a machine or a system (such as a definite switch, fixed switch and a digital operated impulse etc.). Therefore, a proximity switch is called a "switch of no contact." All its components are built-in semi-conductors and there is no wearing-down caused by moving-parts. The service life of the switch will not be affected by frequent actions of switching on and off. The proximity switch is an electrical switching unit, which can function without physical contact. It operates in three steps: oscillator, trigger and output (amplifier).
