Series 1260A is a revolutionary bi-directional hand swipe magnetic stripe reader, which offers excellent data security through its programming capability.
1260A can be programmed through both the keyboard and RS232. It is capable of reading and automatically distinguishing between ISO and 7811. The reader may be operated in the keyboard wedge mode or RS232 mode with the simple change of Jarltech's quick-release cable. The 1260a is suitable for use in applications where both credit/debit card authorization and user database information are desired.
The programming features permit the sending of data only from specified fields on selected tracks and this provides the application developer with considerable flexibility in situations where customized data are required. Information such as name, address, and birthday may be automatically posted to application programs without pressing a single key.
