Polypropylene Film Capacitor (Tubular, PPT)

PPT are non-inductively wound using a polypropylene dielectric with aluminum foil electrodes, axial leads wrapped in flame-retardant tape then sealed with a moisture resistant epoxy resin at both ends.
- Dielectric strength: 250% of the rated voltage for 1-5 sec.
- Dissipation Factor: 0.08% max at 1 KHz 25°C
- Insulation Resistance:
- I.R. ≥50,000 Μ Ω (C ≤0.33 μF)
- I.R. ≥15,000 Μ Ω / C (C >0.33 μF)
- Applications:
- Commercial and industrial applications such as precision timing and oscillation circuits, signal coupling, and bypass circuits.
- Ideal for high-frequency applications.
- Snubber circuit applications.
- It's negative temperature coefficient makes it suitable for use in critical circuits.
- Very low dissipation factor (DF).
- Available in tape and reel packaging for auto insertion.
