SG384xG series PWM controllers are high-performance, current-mode Bi-CMOS green-power controllers. They are pin compatible with bipolar 384x devices, and have advanced features and functionality. SG384xG controllers have a high current totem pole output ideally suited for driving power MOSFETs. Under Voltage Lockout (UVLO) performance has been improved. When the voltage goes below the startup voltage threshold, the internal circuitry will be disabled and the PWM's output will be set to zero. The current-sense propagation delay is typically as low as 100ns, significantly improving over-power protection performance. Like the conventional 384x, the SG384xG uses current-mode architecture for advanced regulation, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and external power MOSFET protection. To maximize application flexibility, the supply voltage can go up to 20 volts. reduced start-up and operating current, resulting in more efficient power conversion. The start-up current can be reduced to 30uA, and the operating current to 3.8mA.
