The SG6510 includes a voltage supervisor function, a remote on/off PSON function, a power good (PGO) indicator function, and a fault protection (FPO) function designed for Flyback Switch Mode Power Systems. The supervisor function provides Over Voltage Protection (OVP) monitoring at 3.3V, 5V and 12V; Under Voltage Sense (UVS) monitoring at 3.3V and 5V; and Under Voltage Protection (UVP) monitoring at 3.3V and 5V. At 3.3V/5V, if the voltage levels decrease to 2.8V/4.2V, the Under Voltage Sense (UVS) function will kick in to reset the PGO signal from high to low. If at 3.3V/5V, the voltage further decreases to 2.5V/3.6V, FPO will be set to high, shutting down the PWM controller IC. For stronger protection against lighting surges, glitches, and accidental power shut downs during Dynamic Loading, the debounce time for UVP is 2ms, and 1ms for UVS.
