Precision Metal Stamping

Precision Metal Stamping: Metal stamping is a forming process that presses a metal blank with a powerful die into a predetermined desire shape (or pattern). The metal formed must be ductile enough to bend into shape without breaking. Deep drawn metal stamping draws the metal shape through progressive passes through the stamping die to produce long narrow final metal stamping.
Stamping services is the process of creating three dimensional parts, lettering, and other surface definition onto materials. This is achieved through the use of forms and dies which are force into the surface of the material by extreme pressure. When remove the patterns on the forms and dies are indelibly stamped into the material. Many standard and exotic engineering materials can be stamped or formed with pressure, although metal stamping is the primary application. Machinery used to perform stamping and forming services ranges from relatively simple manual presses to highly computerized progressive die processors, in which the parts goes through multiple stages of pressing during it's fabrication. Stamping and forming services providers are able to perform a number of different processes, which lead to different styles of finished products. Some of these stamping techniques include fine blanking, deep drawing, wire forming, four slide & multi slide stamping.
Fine Blanking - is specialized technique in which material is sheared smoothly through entire material thickness. This process can be used to produce finished parts without needs for secondary operation.
Deep Drawing - is used to fabricate deeply recessed parts with a punch. A depth that exceeds the parts width, as in a cup produced from a flat metal sheet, characterized deep drawn parts.
Wire Forming - is the stamping of wire into fabrication shapes such as clips, spring, specialty spring & rings etc...
Four slides & Multi slides - stamping incorporates horizontal die applications from multiple directions, either simultaneously or successively. The result is multi slided stamping in a singular process. In addition to stamping and forming services, many providers offer secondary processes to help facilitate the design process. These include design assistance, prototyping and short run manufacturing, high volume production, assembly services and specialty packaging.
Materials Used are: Steel, Stainless steel, Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Galvanized, Titanium, Special Alloy, Iron, etc...
Secondary Operations: Secondary Stamping, Laser Marking, Assembly, Culling, Rework, Tumbling, Tapping, Hand Cleaning, Flaring, Extruding, Piercing, Forming, Tubing,Coating, Heat Treat, Plating.
