Testing method of this instrument is to grind 1“ ×1” standard gum i2.54 mm, record the rotary counts, and use the same method to grind 1“×1” specimen 2.54mm, record the turn counts, and calculate the NBS value as following formula:
NBS formula: (Turning counts of grind specimen 2.54 mm ÷ Turning counts of grinding standard gum 2.54 mm) ×100 = NBS value.About this test equipment
a load will be put on the specimen to be ground with roating grinding paper to check the consumption,which can be compared with a standard rubber to get a more objective result.
