Epoxidised polyamide wet-strength resin
Epoxidised polyamide resin, usually referred as PAE [poly(aminoamide)-epichlorohydrin] resin or PPE [polyamide-polyamine-epichlorohydrin] resin, is one type of highly charged cationic polymers. It has been extensively applied in the neutral or alkaline papermaking processes. The use of epoxidised polyamide additives can enhance the bonding strength among fibers and neutralize negative charges existing on fiber surface. Thus, the wet strength of paper products and the drainage efficiency in papermaking can be benefited.
