The detrasher II is a pressurised vessel fitted with a horizontally mounted vokes rotor, used for the continuous removal of contaminant from the hydrapulper tub.
The detrasher II is directly fed from the hydrapulper. Accepted defibred stock passes through a perforated bedplate located behind the rotor vane, and goes forward to the hydrapulper dump chest.
Light contaminants are rejected from the detrasher tub through a time controlled valve and on to the drum screen. Heavy contaminants are removed through a heavy reject chute, which includes one pneumatically operated gate valve, also PLC controlled.
A door is situated at the inlet end of the tub for access to the rotor and bedplate.
A 200mm dia flanged opening is positioned for easy access to viewing the inside of the body.
The PS vokes rotor is a solid 8 - vane, chrome steel casting, and the leading edge of each vane being hard - faced. The rotor is keyed to the horizontal drive shaft, which is protected by a stainless steel sleeve through the packing box.
