The pioneers of Minply established the company in 1982. The trading of plywood and other wood-related products was the initial core business of the company. Through the years, investments were made in property and various manufacturing facilities. Today, the Group is well diversified with manufacturing facilities for: furniture fittings (drawer slides / concealed hinges / etc.), polyurethane (PU) molding (cornices / ceiling medallions / corbels / furniture components / wall & door decorations / etc.), timber moldings (architrave / skirting / etc.), speaker boxes / speaker systems (OEM arrangements), wooden furniture / panelled products (doors / wardrobe cabinets / dining tables / ceramic tile top tables / etc.), electrical components (single-phase transformers / a. c. solenoids / busbar insulators & supports / etc.). Construction contract facilities for: piling works, construction of factories / mixed development, interior works (PU / wooden / electrical fixtures / etc.), custom made furniture for hotels / condominiums / etc.). Thus, there is a great deal of inter-related tie-ups among the various manufacturing facilities to the construction contract facilities. This strategy of creating synergy within the Group was the brainchild of the pioneers of MHB. The MHB Group has a 300 strong workforce at the moment. The MHB Group enjoys a fair share of the domestic market and is continuously expanding its various export markets. Its current gross annual turnover is in excess of RM100 million.
