Frictionless non contact air bearings which are superior to mechanical bearings because there will not be any wear or tear of guide ways. Higher operating & measuring speed. All axis of the machine including tail stock made of same hard dark granite so that the thermally rugged behavior is obtained.
Granite Guide ways are ground & lapped. Protection for guide ways against unhealthy environment such as dust is provided by the air coming out of the air bearings with pressure. Only WGT CNC Gear Testers have active pneumatic vibration damping system.
