IISI was formed in strategic alliance with IBM equity in 1990 through a merger of IISI (formed in 1988) and NDC (formed in 1984). IISI completed many system product developments and localization projects for customers, including IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, HP etc. IISI specialized in Cryptographic based data security products and smart card related devices/systems. IISI is also a major system integration player, and the first with ISO 9000 certification, in Taiwan.
