The Novatec Interceptor 46 was designed for a crew of 3 or 4 personnel depending on its mission. With Novatec's own in-house design team and assistance from the United Ship Design & Development Center it was able to develop and build a high speed Patrol Boat that can operate in open ocean waters or in the inter coastal water at high or low speeds. With its twin high speed 800 HP MAN marine engines the Interceptor 46 can run at 55 knots plus all day long.
The Interceptor 46 was specifically designed with a mission statement to be the best high speed Navy interceptor patrol boat. With a length of 46 feet and beam of 12.5 feet the Interceptor 46 has great open ocean stability and riding characteristics. Its tough Kevlar construction can withstand the pounding forces of 9G(s).
