ASM Pro is an SNMP based server management system incorporating both software and server hardware implementations, designed specifically for system administrators to centrally manage Acer system in a network running on different platforms. The ASM Pro provides corporate end users with a tool to conveniently monitor their network servers without sacrificing on efficiency. As a follow up version to ASM Pro V1.x, ASM Pro V3.0 offers a rich set of information on system configurations and run-time utilities to help corporate server users better manage their network spending and plan for future network upgrades. Created to keep a vigilant eye on network servers, the ASM Pro monitors network servers simultaneously, checking performance, pointing out errors and sending warnings on abnormal server conditions. Used with Acer servers, the ASM Pro can tap advanced hardware features for an even wider range of functions to keep your network operations running smoothly.

Features:
- ASM Pro complete package: The complete ASM Pro package includes the ASM agent and the ASM station. ASM agents are installed into the network servers while the ASM station is installed on a Windows workstation to centrally manage these servers.
- ASM agent: The ASM agent consists of separate agent programs for servers running under Novell NetWare server, SCO opening server, Windows 95 NT server, SCO UnixWare and Windows 95 desktop(ADM) agent integrates information about the system's operating system, hardware and Acer's DMI Bios. Once installed all the network administrator has to do is run the ASM-agent on each server or Windows 95 desktop, then monitor each server from the ASM station. Information is reported to the ASM station via the SNMP protocol.
- ASM Station: The ASM station is a station program running under Windows 3.1(ASM Pro V1.x) or Windows 95 orb Windows NT 4.0 workstation(ASM Pro V3.x or later version).I5t serves as the central monitor that retrieves information from managed systems [ASM Agent]. ASM station's user friendly interface offers easy access to server information and navigation within the program to view desired information.
- Preventive maintenance and fault detection: ASM Pro continuously checks on components, pointing out components that are defective, checking power fluctuations and guarding against over heating.
- System performance monitor: ASM Pro can look into network servers and check their resource utilization.
- Comprehensive system information monitor & Event notification methods: providing a myriad of information about the network server's hardware and software components, this feature serves as a useful tool in replacing or upgrading components. ASM Pro enables you to make a choice from a selection of notification methods on how it should report faults or warnings.
- System office maintenance: remote diagnostic maintenance [RDM] communicates with ASM-agent to determine if the system is active or not. If the system is not active, the RDM will take over to perform the system off-line maintenance.
