It is used to transmit the data between 10Base-T twisted-pair and 10Base-FL optical cable or between 100Base-TX twisted-pair and 100Base-FX optical cable or between 1000Base-T twisted-pair and 1000Base-FX optical cable. It is fit to 1000M backbone link . It can extend the transmission distance from 100m that is transmission limit to twisted-pair to over 80KM by 1000M ethernet rate. So it is a 1000Mm ethernet fiber media converter with high quality and competitive price.
