Major constructional details:
Rolls: made of chilled cast iron. The rolls are cooled by water or heated by steam inside.
Stands & apron: steel fabricated.
Bed: common bed construction, steel fabricated.
Journal bearing: Bearing housing are made of En-8 steel forging Material with Anti friction roller bearing.
Roll clearance adjusting unit: Through worm and worm gear drive clutch rod for parallel sheeting hand wheels to close the nip from one point only.
Reduction Gearbox: Helical Reduction Gearbox Shanti/Greaves make which is directly coupled with rear roll and directly coupled with motor.
