Touch Screen LCD Module uses 128x64 dot pixel Chip On Glass (COG) Super Twisted Nematic (STN) transmissive monochrome Optrex F-51553 or F-51852 LCDs, TC51553 or TC553/852 Controller, and Four-Wire Analog Resistive Touch Screen. It can integrate with other applications, ease user interface, and make significant changes in graphic LCD system design. The touch screen is placed over the LCD so that the responsive area of the panel covers the viewable area of the display. The touch screen interface is being used in a wide variety of applications to improve human-computer interaction. It is pressure sensitive so it responds to any input device, including finger, gloved hand, or pen stylus. This module offers easy-to-use serial data interface, allows to control from raw row and column pixel data conversion to complete embedded graphic control subsystems with memory. Additionally, if reprogramming Atmega16 microcontroller, this module can be used as stand alone unit allowing greater design creativity.

- The TC51553 is an Evaluation/Demo board for Optrex F-51553 128x64 COG Monochrome STN LCD. It allows the user to individually control each display pixel. This independent pixel control allows the user to display both text and pictures simultaneously. It uses an ATMEGA16 microcontroller and external AT24C64/AT24C512 serial EEPROM. The microcontroller can be reprogrammed at any time by using AVRISP device. This board requires a single 5 VDC supply to be plugged into J5 connector (bypass voltage regulator) or 6-15 VDC power supply to be plugged into J11 connector.
