Wanshih is a 16 years company started with wire harness. Now we have three divisions: wireless communication division, wire harness and cable assembly division, optical communication division. Please allow me to do a simple introduction about Wanshih's wireless communication division.
Wireless communication division: (first source of D-Link in Taiwan) (only 1USD for a 2.4GHz, 2dBi dipole antenna)
1. Antennas: 2.4 & 5.2GHz antenna for Laptop, PDA, AP, Router and CCD camera under 802.11x application. Imbedded antennas and external antennas. Antennas for other applications.
2. R&D capability: Wanshih invested MOTIA, USA in 2001. Motia is a professional antenna design house which consists of 15 engineers. Besides the US team, we have also 5 RF engineers in Taipei to do on site support for our customers. They are not only specializing in antenna design but also discussing spec w/ our customers and Final Tuning as well.
3. production capacity: Wanshih have developed several embedded and external rubber ducky antennas, and huge quantity is produced both in our Taiwan and China factory. Wanshih speed up transferring production to our China plants, evaluated quantity for antenna can reach to 600K pcs/month and 1 Million pcs/month RF cable assemblies now. This could definitely meet volume requests in the antenna market.
4. TPU housing: The TPU housing w/ flexibility & hard to be scratched features. Most in the market took TPE or ABS which easily go hurt and inflexible
a. can pass strict bending test.
b. streamlined appearance and no gap in between.
c. No color difference.
5. 360 degree turning feature: Clockwise/Counterclockwise turning of connector enable user to adjust the antenna's best transmitting and receiving direction.
6. Strong retention force: The Connector's Pin Nut Retention Force ≧6.1 lbs, Coupling Nut Retention Force ≧60.7 lbs meet international SMA connector standard which is the other suppliers can not reach.
7. Superior true VSWR: Connector's VSWR at 3GHz can be lower to 1.06 (Cable Type: RG178, RG316). Most suppliers are not able to reach to that standard.
8. Connector: Connector plays an important role in antenna production by cost. Wanshih won the supports from some qualified connector manufacturer for strategy alliances. Furthermore, aggressively attempt to guide or to invest the manufacturers set up the plants in China to drop the cost down. Wanshih already have low cost sources for connectors. W/ the cooperation getting closer, the cost could be keeping lower.
9. Cable: Wanshih is one member of Wonderful Group. Wonderful is specialized in wire and cable manufacturing. We have distinguished staff in charge of jig tool and auto assembly production line development. Our China plant's monthly capacity can reach to 600,000 pcs from Wanshih self-developing Auto Coaxial LCM Cable production line. We are currently the nbr. 1 in worldwide market share for this mini coaxial cable assembly. We are regarded as the most competitive company in this field by Dell after their factory audit in April, 2002. The experience from cable assembly like Connector/Cable soldering, Impedance control, Cable alignment, and EMI Solution can apply to antenna processes. They are important factors to guarantee the quality in volume production.
10. Bluetooth Module and USB Dongle: we have the technology of LTCC. This technology enables Wanshih to provide consistency and reliable transmitting. Wanshih have also put the memory (256Mbps) into our module and at the next step, we will enable our module to play MP3 music. Any co-development or opinion share is highly welcomed.
11. Bluetooth Desktop: ‧One channel for 27.045 MHz. Cordless technology: Radio Frequency. Cordless Modulation: FSK. Transfer rate is 10Kbps. We have patent on the mouse design which enables the combination of mouse and USB receiver.
12. Testing Chamber: For guarantee the best antenna performance, Wanshih invested in building " ANECHOIC CHAMBER" w/o any hesitation in June 2002. It was built according to the international standard, and it was also verified by Intel in Nov., 2002. We work very closely with our clients for final tuning and propose the best solution for their modification.
13. Q.C. : Our quality is ISO 9002/ISO14001certificated and approved by Quanta, Compal, Inventec, Wistron, Dell, Fujitsu, Sony, Samsung. We are the first overseas supplier got "Lead Free Certification" from Sony in the first time. We are also some overseas suppliers got IQC exemption from Sony in the past. As to antenna products, we have invested quite a lot manpower and facilities to perform total quality management from R&Ｄ, production, and after sales service to satisfy our customer.
14. Customers: Upon the strength above, Wanshih has been the antenna First Source by D-LINK. Besides that, we are also the approved vendor of the other Taiwan WLAN and Laptop manufacturers. Our next step to work directly with the well know brand like Linksys, Buffalo, Netgear, SMC, Corega, Belkin...etc. We would like to cooperate with some local sales representative who knows the market/product very well and is capable to introduce us to the above companies.
