Gateway has built various molds for product handling such as containers, trays, beer bins, crate pallets, and other big tools.
The biggest tool we have ever made weights 24 tons with 16 drops of hot runner.
The hot runner is required to fill large parts and achieve balance in the runner.
We also offer mold flow analysis to get the right gate position and make sure that the part is filled. Right mold construction is critical to withstand injection pressure. Maximum cooling is also necessary to get good cycle time. Beryllium molding surface at the hot spot/thin steel is important for obtaining a good cycle time as well. Balance cooling is the key to prevent part deformation.
