We have abundant experience in producing unscrewed molds in Taiwan. We use Husky hot runner system on our high-production-unscrewed cap tools.
We use hydraulic cylinders with racks to drill thread cores. We will try to drill water lines in thread cores if the thread cores are not too small.
Because the cooling is the key to achieve a short cycle time, we use fully hardened steel with different degrees of hardness at the contact cores or sleeves to prevent core galling.
We always make steel safe before T1 and then adjust the critical dimensions to specifications after customer’s requirement of cycle time is achieved.
We have been making a lot of unscrewed tools such as pipe fittings and some main bodies with threads. We can design the thread cores of the side tool using hydraulic motor with gears to drill the thread cores.
We have shipped a lot of tools to our US clients using this kind of construction. They are very satisfied with the quality of the tools. We don’t need to have thread cores screwed back after they were made unscrewed by motor. We design to have slide blocks to push the thread cores back directly to save time.
