- ATS measuring results:
- Original working pieces measured values + total uncertainty = measured values of calibrated piece.
- Using ruby feeler to read the values between the threads (P.D. of thread) directly. The measurement accuracy is 0.0001 inch or 0.00001 mm.
- Measurement pressure, best feeler, best wire, best technician and standard environment conditions comply with national and international laboratory requirement.
- Other measurement:
- Thread gage: unable to supply correct measured values to prove the quality when quality disputes arise.
- Trace ability of measurement: inspection gage for QC --> setting thread gage --> 3 wire gage --> calibration laboratory.
- Explanation of results:
- Original working gage measured values + uncertainty of "setting thread gage" + uncertainty of "3 wire gage" = measured values of calibrated piece.
- Manual pressure tests and ordinary environmental measurements affect measurement quality.
- The judgment only gives GO or NO GO. There is no specific figure to prove.
