These ballasts are characterized by modern shapes and designs. The self-contained winding consists of copper wire, insulated with high-grade varnish and impregnated under vacuum, and then baked on high temperature. The core is made of high-quality electrolytic sheet metal, while the form for the magnetic circuit and the design of the entire ballast provide for a noiseless operation, absence of vibrations and good heat convection, which make lamp construction easier and less expensive. Sound design, selected materials, contemporary fabrication procedures, make all possible to attain a good and constant quality and long life of the ballasts.
