• The float switch is used for the control or liquid levels and comprises of the following:
• A housing in which is mounted the mercury switch. The cover of the housing is made of "transparent metacrylate" to allow easy inspection and checking of operation in it
• A nylon pressed floating ball
• A nylon string of about 1 metre long
• 2 clamps for adjusting the maximum and minimum levels
• 2 counterweights
• To ensure proper operation of the switch, it is essential that the counterweight connected to the float guide string does not touch the bottom of the tank or well, where the maximum and minimum liquid levels are intended to be controlled.
