Transformers(Non-inherently short-circuit-proof)

Located inside the non-inherently short-circuit-proof transformers is a PTC(low temperature conductor). In case of short-circuit and overload this protection device detects the heat dissipation of the transformer windings and switches off the primary supply voltage. After the overload has been removed and after a short interruption of the primary supply voltage the transformer is again fully functional without any fuses having to be exchanged.
