Autopack, designed and manufactures of shrink packaging allied equipment, have introduced a new range of machines which will cement autopacks leading position in this decade and beyond 2000. • Operation
• After filling capping and labeling, product to be shrink packaged is presented to the machine on a conveyor or trolley.
• Here the operator assembles a desired group of product in front of the hand operated (orpneumatically assisted) pusher once ready the operator advance the pusher to transfer the pack to the welding and wrapping position.
• At this stage the collation is clamped the welding bar descends to complete the wrap and pusher is returned so the next collation can be prepared.
• After the welding bar ascends the pusher is advanced to transfer the new collation into the welding position, at the same time displacing the previously wrapped collation onto continuously moving shrink tunnel conveyor.
• The wrapped collation soon enters the shrink tunnel chamber where recalculated hot air causes the wrap to shrink and tightly conform to contours of the contents.
• Once the pack is out of the hot chamber forced air cooling is used to tighten the sleeve wrap to achieve a strong, secure pack ready for stacking on a pallet or a placing in a shipping carton.

• Maximum stated pack width can only be achieved if the pack depth and the height are not at their maximum. In general as the pack depth or height goes up, then for given film size, width of the pack must decrease. If in doubt consult our technical staff.
• The values specified are to satisfy most applications but if they don't accommodate your product size please contact us as we may be able to vary some machine parameters during the manufacturing process.
• Since the machine is operator controlled the speed is very much dependent on the operator, particularly if the product has to manually collated. While a skilled operator can push up to 20 single pack per min, his speed will drop to say 10 ppm if he has to collate the product into six packs.
• Some standard option use different transfer tables between the wrapping station and shrink tunnel. These will alter values of L and Ls.
• The gravity conveyor supplied with Shrink Tunnel is easily detachable and its length can be altered to suit. It can also be substituted by a power version to assist transfer packs onto other driven belts running at 90%.
