Features
  • Characteristics (1100): commercially pure aluminum used in a variety of applications where strength is not a priority; good corrosion resistance and formable; can be anodized and polished
  • Characteristics (6063): the most popular extrusion alloy; take a good surface finish, is corrosion resistant, and can be heat treated for strength.
  • Characteristics(6061): most versatile of heat treatable group; will take considerable forming in T4; good corrosion resistance; used in transportation and structural applications
  • The table mechanical properties are intended only as a basis for alloy and tempers comparison and should not be specified as engineering requirement
  • The indicated typical mechanical properties are higher than the specified minimum properties
