Developed for the treatment of mitral valve stenosis, the V-Broaden PTMC Balloon Catheter is indicated for Percutaneous Transvenous Mitral Commissurotomy in patients with hemodynamically significant mitral valvular stenosis, resulting primarily from commissuralfusion of the mitral valve cusps. The V-broadenTM PTMC Balloon catheter is manufactured of polyvinyl chloride with a balloon attached to the distal end. The balloon is consisted of two latex layers, between which is polyester micromesh.
