Copper plated steel earth rod, also called grounding rod, is a substitute material for traditional angle steel and round steel for grounding purpose. Copper will be plated onto low carbon or high carbon steel rod, with normal tensile strength more than 600N/mm2 and copper thickness more than 0.254mm. It combines the corrosion resistance of copper and mechanical property of steel so that it can be buried deeply in earth and protects the grounding equipment from temperature or moisture influence and provides low grounding resistance.
