Vintage 1963 Gibson Les Paul Standard with original deluxe hard shell case. SG body style. Serial # 97527. Nickel hardware. Deluxe Vibrola tail piece 100% original except for re fret & bridge posts slightly moved to make intonation more accurate. Original post holes professionally plugged & touched up. Has rare ebony pearl inlaid tail block. According to Gruhns Guide To Vintage Guitars only a few were made with the inlaid ebony tail block. In late 1963 the Les Paul name is dropped and the model is renamed SG Standard. All electronics are factory original and have never been touched. Neck pick up is a PAF (Patent applied for), Bridge pick up has Patent Number sticker. The Patent number pick up is identical to the PAF just with the later sticker. ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge. Kluson Deluxe tuners. Les Paul engraved truss rod cover. 5 screw multi- ply pick guard. 24 ¾” scale. Trapezoid inlays. Pearl logo. Mahogany body. Cherry finish.
