Lead Glass Tube
Feature
Lead glass is featured with a high density and refractive index, thus excellent brilliance and sonority, as well as excellent workability. Lead glass tubing has high electrical resistivity and seals well to dumet lead wires.
Application
It is used for flare and exhaust tubing in incandescent and fluorescent lighting products. It is also used extensively for neon signs. Usually lead glass tubes are divided into 3 classes based on the content of PbO:
Low lead glass tube (PbO 10%-12%)
Medium lead glass tube (PbO 20%)
Heavy lead glass tube (PbO 24%-27% or more)
