Galena is kind of lead mineral with big density 7.4-7.6g/cm3 and gangue density of 2.2-3g/cm3. Its big embedded granule and density difference makes gravity a great beneficiation method to gain high grade galena concentrate. For gravity separation of galena, the separator involved is mainly jigger. After crushing, the galena granules will be dissociated from impurities and jiggers will separate galena granules our from impurities to gain galena concentrate. Finally, high grade concentrate of galena can be gained with a high recovery rate and great beneficiation efficiency.

The crude galena is crushed and screened to make the galena granules dessociated from its gangue. Kind of gravity separators like jigging machine can be used to purify lead ore. Machines like crushers, rod mills, jig separators, shaking tables can be involved in lead gravity processing line.
