These blowers work on positive displacement principle with constant volume characteristics and their rugged construction makes them suitable for continuous duty.
The roots are in the shape of figure Eight that can be Tri lobed and this design adds to its higher efficiency and lower pulsation. The incoming air is trapped by the lobes and moved through the machine, as in the conventional rotary air blowers.

As the lobes rotate further the Whispair slot opens allowing a jet of air from discharge pressure line to enter back into the trapped air area zone. This feedback results in Equalization of pressure between the trapped air and the discharge area, thereby reducing load on Lobes and subsequently power saving.

The feature improves efficiency, reduces noise level and increases bearing life.
