ASFE VAV 2000, the completely software based visual alarm system that has been taking the security industry by storm. The VAV 2000 is the most user friendly, easy to install and by far, the most economical slow scan video and still image system on the market. With VAV, there are no costly accessories, receivers or specific cameras to use. It includes all of the features that you would be asked to pay thousands of dollars extra for with a similar product line. Interfaces easily with existing CCTV, security systems and central stations. Since the central station and the remote site transmitter are completely software based, you are investing in the future because upgrades are as easy as a telephone call. VAV's central station software is sold in a single or Multi-user format. The Multi-user version easily interfaces with any existing central station software on the market. VAV's remote site transmitter can be used as a standalone security system or interfaced as am up-grade to any existing security equipment. Programming of the VAV remote site transmitter is done through a very simple programme from a computer, marling installation time minutes not hours. With AVA, there's no further need to worry about non functioning cameras. Each time the user activates the alarm system, the remote site transmitter automatically self-tests each camera. If a malfunction is detected, a signal is sent to the central station, indicating the customer informer information and the exact problem. Since each application and budget is different, the VAV can be used with any CCTV camera. Its smart programming automatically calibrates each camera continuously (brightness & contrast) so that even in extremely low light situations, the best possible video can be obtained. From the instant an alarm s triggered-which can be any open or close switching device (i.e. window, door sensor, PIR, panic button, etc.) The remote site unit will transmit a full 320 x 200 (64 million colors/256-greyscale) high resolution image in 20 seconds to the central station operator followed by 3 more images. Since power to each camera is continuous, one of the final (4) transmitter images is of a pre-alarm condition, which is an image that was taken 5 seconds prior to the alarm being triggered, providing even further examination of event. Once received, the operator has several options for processing the images: to animate, magnify, zoom, print, etc. or directly from the customer screen, switch to smart scan video. The operator can also fax the images to any location directly from the customer screen, or print onto any type of printer. A graphic screen which can contain a customer photo, floor plan, etc. is provided along with all the customer information including what camera and zone have been violated. Guard tours to one or all cameras can be programmed or requested by the monitor at anytime. Date and time are stamped on all images, so that they may be admissible as evidence in a court of law. The VAV 2000 uses ordinary telephone lines, thus, eliminating the need for dedicated or costly ISDN lines. If a telephone line is down or cut, the remote site unit will continue to operate, storing up to 100 images and re-transmitting them when the line is reconnected, so the cause of an alarm is never lost. VAV's software comes in Windows 3.1, Windows-95 & DOS. VAV software is also equipped with watch-dog technology and is capable of transmitting via cellular telephone, ISDM, dedicated lines or wireless packet data network if required. The smart scan video mode of the VAV 2000 line of transmitters is quite unique. To begin with, all are 100% software based, thus eliminating the worry of your system becoming outdated as is the case with fixed hardware products. When new VAV software is introduced, it is simply downloaded via modem to your VV transmitter by you or your central monitoring station. The VAV 2000 picture refresh rate is not delayed by movement, irregardless of the amount of activity which is being transmitted. The video refresh rate remains the same. In addition, the VAV 2000 transmits unconditionally meaning that a full new image, not just the changes are transmitted each time. Since the VAV size and transits to any IBM compatible computer, transmission speeds vary depending on the PC used. The while online, to suit their individual needs and taste. Software diskettes are provided with all VAV 2000 transmitters. This enables the user to use any PC or Laptop, equipped with modem to call the location(s) and receive live video.
