• Applications
• Shoe industry: Natural leather sole adherence to leather and textiles. Semi-experienced sole adherence to leather and textiles. Leather adherence to leather. Textile folding. Permanent bonding of shoes repair at home. No nails, no press, no stitching.
• Furniture industry: Adhering formica table-taps, wood or plastic veneers and component parts of furniture.
• Automotive industry: Bonding of leather stripping and gaskets, under coating, patching convertible tops etc.
• Building industry: Bonding of plastic and rubber tiles to floors, walls, partitions etc. Bonding of weather stripping to windows and doors. Adhering honey-comb panel assemblies etc.
• Miscellaneous: Seaming and patching of tarpaulins, tents, rainwear and various inflatable structures. Adhering fabric to metal and other nonporous material.
• Directions for use
• Clean, dry rough both surfaces thoroughly.
• Apply thin even coating over both surfaces. On porous surfaces like leather and textile two coats are preferable.
• Allow the films to dry for 15 to 30 minutes(depending upon the substrates) until they completely dry.
• Join the surfaces taking care not to trap any air and press, hammer or roll down firmly. Prolonged pressure not necessary.
• If the film dries before bonding, it can be reactivated wit h heat or solvent even after several days, to give a satisfactory bond strength.
• The bond grows stronger with age and should be tested after 48 hours.
• The adhesive is flammable. Do not use or keep near fire or flame.
• Presentation
• In cans, tins and tubes of various sizes. Special packing requirements can be met on request.
• Heat resistance
• Tow 1"x 8" long leather stripes bonded with Samad Bond 101 when subjected to a temperature of 80 Celsius would easily withstand a peeling load of 2kgs applied at the open ends of the strips at an angle of 90 Celsius.
