In 1999, Golden Regent Investment Limited (GRI) celebrated her tenth anniversary. Established in 1989 as an OEM manufacturer of magnetic based electronic components, the company has grown rapidly to become a manufacturer of diversified products, the latest addition being multi-media peripherals and speaker systems.
To cope with the rapid growth of business of GRI, a review of the company's organization and structure was carried out in 1995. The review led to the establishment of the Golden Regent Electronics Industrial Limited (GRE) in 1996. The new company took over the magnetic based component division from GRI with the incumbent directors and management team of the division. This strategic step was taken to ensure a more focused management of resources. As a result of restructuring, a tremendous growth in sales and increase in the profit margin was realized in 1997 and 1998.
Starting off under the leadership of the founding Ma family, the company has grown rapidly and developed a team of competent managers. Executive Directors of the company are western trained, with strong professional qualifications and experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Business Administration.
Today, GRE operates one trading office in Hong Kong SAR and three production facilities in Guangdong, China. The company has a production floor area totaling 140,000 sq ft. and a workforce of over 1,500. GRE has distinguished herself as a leading manufacturer for power magnetic components. Among the company's satisfied customers are leaders in the fields of telecommunication, office equipment, medical equipment and others.
